The cats have caught what appears to be cat flu. Tiger, Put Put, Jack, Peaches, Star and Charley have running noses, sneezing and lots of mucus. The vet. placed them on antibiotics.
Peaches is in the hospital with difficulty with breathing.
Jazz, Elizabeth and Fancy do not have this virus. They are separated from the other cats. The cats take medication 2x per day. I have coated walls with mucus and pink medication spots due to the cats spitting out their meds. These cats have been soooo loved and had a happy, carefree life. Now they are suffering. The kittens are doing better today. They are eating. Put Put looks so tired from being so ill. Jack stares into space with his mouth opened for air. The vet. says it is an upper respiratory infection.
Peaches, the mother of Put Put, Jack and Tiger was in such bad shape Friday that she was admitted to the hospital for the week end. Hopefully by Monday she will be better. We just don't know.
Dr. Lewis a compassionate veterinarian from Animal House Clinic is watching Peaches closely. She stated her temperature went down from 105 to 100.9. Monday they will test her for the cause of her symptoms if she has not improved.
So, I am praying for God's help to get us through this storm. There is a purpose for this storm. We will ride the storm out with the word of God as my anchor.
Please pray for my furry children. I love them so.
